Original Apple GeoPort Telecoms adapter designed to be used with Macintosh models featuring a GeoPort. These machines used internal digital signal processors (DPSs) for audio visual processing and the idea of the geoport was to make the processing power of the DSPs available to external peripherlal. In reality, the only purpose this was ever put to was with the GeoPort Telecoms adapter which functioned as a modem but used the Macintosh' internal DSPs. The device has a standard rj11 telephone jack socket and is powered through the GeoPort.
